Dr. Annette Hoover attended Shepherd College for her undergraduate studies where she received the McMurran Scholar Award, the highest award for academic achievement at Shepherd College. Dr. Hoover earned Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO). During her education at PCO she completed an internship at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia and three externships: Quantico Marine Base in Virginia, Drs Gary and Tammy Edelmann in North Carolina, and Dr. Joe Trupo in West Virginia. She began practicing optometry in 1993 and has been with Allegany Optical since 1996. In her free time, Dr. Hoover enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
