Dr. Jim Brown was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. He graduated from Ferguson High School and attended Randolph-Macon College where he graduated with a degree in Biology. Dr. Brown taught high school biology for a number of years before attending the Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he completed externships at the Lebanon VA Hospital and the Eye Institute of Philadelphia. Dr. Brown has been with Allegany Optical for 15 years. His hobbies include building miniatures such as railroads, ships, and landscapes.
