Dr. Stan Bowser earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from Juniata College. He received his Doctorate of Optometry in 1988 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and, as a recipient of the Wildermuth Scholarship, he was recognized for his academic achievements. Dr. Bowser also completed an externship on the Blackfoot Indian Reservation in North western Montana. Dr. Bowser enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle including bowhunting, canoeing, hiking, fishing, and scuba diving. He has been a part of Allegany Optical’s staff since 1988, and a number of Dr. Bowser’s nature photographs from his trips abroad can be seen at Allegany Optical’s Lyles Center and Chambersburg Mall offices.
